"Pampas Big Sur" 12x12 Acrylic on Wood

This is one of the 8 paintings from my 12x12 Central Coast Series. I painted this series with the idea of bringing bright and colorful artwork to every room. I tried out a new painting style that allows the neon pink base layer to show through in some areas that helps tie in all the colors.
 
"Pampas Big Sur" is based off of my own reference photo I took when I was in Big Sur during the fall two years ago. I love how the pampas grass fills the hills and the floofy contrast of it with the dry hills in the background. I've been wanting to paint it for awhile and finally did. I added a soft sunset over the mountains so the main focus would remain on the pampas grass.
 
The painting's edges are painted and comes ready to hang.
