From Mom's Camera Roll no. 2 - 18"x24" Acrylic on Wood

I've been wanting to paint a scene of the sky only for a long time but always felt tied down to the landscape and that I couldn't leave it out. Alas, I took a leap and said it's time to leave the landscape behind!

I love watching the sun rise and set but I typically miss most sunrises out of the year. However, my mom doesn't! Recently she sends me photos of the sunrise on her way to work or while there so I decided to make a series based on those photos. All were taken on different days and show off the sunrise in different stages which I really wanted to highlight here.

All are acrylic painted on wood and come ready to hang. The edges are painted in a color that accents the painting.
